Oregon Living 2025 – Blog #4 – A Weekend of Dealing With the Flu and Dancing as Well!

Sunday, January 19th., 2025…… I think I’ve got a cold or something. I’m just laying around today. I hope it helps. Cathye was the best caregiver! She left me alone but checked in to see what I needed.  Later, when it was time to go to class, I had her go while I stayed home. Tonight was their graduation and I heard they had a great time!  Pics from the evening…

Monday, January 20th., 2025…… Not much better this morning when I woke up. But I had a restful day and felt better later. Cathye did everything for me most of the day. We are trying to get me better so we can go to the Mid-Winter festival on Thursday!  She ran errands and took good care of me.

Tuesday, January 21st., 2024…… Sorry, don’t feel much like writing today. I am still trying to kick this thing. Tattoo second skin cover comes off this morning. I ripped mine off and waited for the redness to appear! Not too much. I took Cat’s off before she got in the shower. She was good to go. Later, the area where the cover was turned a little red, but hydrocortisone cream helped with that.

Wednesday, January 22nd., 2025……  A better day for me.  I feel a little light heated when I first get up but that’s going away and would disappear later in the evening. Meanwhile, Cat took care of me. She also got her things out for the weekend festival. We go in on Thursday afternoon, have a trail-in dance that night, and work the front counter on Friday afternoon. We have a dance on Friday night and will come back home on Saturday afternoon for a few minutes to be able to get on our zoom call for the land tour part of our cruise (unless we can get internet at the fairgrounds). We have the big dance on Saturday night and then Cat learned they have a special church service/dance on Sunday morning. She’s interested. That’s our next few days….

Thursday, January 23rd., 2025…… We were up and going early this morning. I am feeling much better. Just getting tired a bit quicker right now. Cathye walked the girls and I fed them when they got back.  We decided to skip the gym today and just went to breakfast at Kristi’s. While we were there, Cat got a call from Lona. She and Misty are going in with Misty’s daughter and her husband in buying a house!  Kennedy and Sherman have been at her grandfather’s house for many years. He has recently passed so they need to move. They found a house and have been saving for some time so they can qualify! Lona will stay with them and Misty gets the mother-in-law-suite out back. They are thrilled!  She told us where it is for we drove by after breakfast. It is tucked back down a dead end dirt road and looks to be in fair shape. Plus it is on 4 acres! Lona said her place gets listed tomorrow. We drove on to Walmart and got some things for this weekend for when we’re in the rv. When we got back and got things loaded, and the rig fired up and out in the driveway, we were ready. We were in no hurry and we both needed to rest so we came in and sat down for a few minutes. There is nothing going on until 7:30 tonight and we may skip that, so we waited until 12:30 and then left and got into our space. Temps in the 20s so I am not hooking up city water!  We have a full tank. We also have 50amp so we will use all the heaters we have, including the heating pad on the bed! I got the satellite going and we just hung around, watching other rigs pull in. Later, some of our people showed up. None of them need 50 amp so they are in another section. Not too far away though. We decided to go ahead and go to the trail-in dance even though it was additional to the package. We didn’t dance much so it wasn’t worth it. We came back and took the dogs out and then settled in for the evening.

Friday, January 24th., 2025…… It was ok last night. We had the coach warmed up and it was cozy sleeping and the dogs were happy. We got up and I took them out. Still 29° out there but it was ok for a few minutes so the dogs could do their business. We brought leftovers for breakfast and had coffee and we were good to go. We hung around the motorhome and watched tv. I still wasn’t feeling great yet. The plan was to go to the 2:00pm dance and go talk to the guys we would be working for later at the registration desk. I danced a tip and then decided I needed to go back and relax so I did that. I would feel better later in the evening. Later, we headed over next door to the Cascade Grill for dinner. Just the two of us. We got back and changed for tonight. I discovered that one of my square dance shirts wasn’t wearable! We brought two outfits and the one for tonight was green and white. I have a white shirt but when I took it out I found that I had left a bunch of red 50/50 ticket shirts in the pocket. It went through the wash and, yep, big red stains! So, we wore the purple outfit today. We will shop the vintage area later today and also the one vendor who will have one if I need it.  We made it to the registration booth in plenty of time for our 6:00pm shift.  Our leaders weren’t there so we winged it for a bit!  The shift was only an hour so we were done in time for opening ceremonies around the corner at 7:00. I was starting to feel better and we danced the first tip with the featured caller, Jaden Frigo, who is from Australia. He was super- fast! Plus, with his accent, it was difficult for the beginners to understand the calls! Personally, I enjoyed his pace and rhythm. Later, we made our way over to/ the vintage clothing room. All of the clubs in the area bring clothes for sale. Our new dancers were in the front of the line to get in! I didn’t find my shirt but Cathye bought several items. We went by the vendor booth and I found a white shirt for tomorrow. We danced until the end and then at the afterparty, where Jaden really let go. We did a lightning fast paced tip (similar to hot hash for my square dance friends), which tired us quickly. We left and came back and walked the dogs then called it a night. It was 11:30pm.

Saturday, January 25th., 2025…… Needless to say, we slept in this morning! I was up to get a text from my sister. She is going to stay with the dogs at the house later. We need to go back home for a bit to get on a 2:00pm zoom call for the cruise. We will leave the girls and then come back to meet the group at 4:00pm for dinner. But first up this morning after breakfast, was an 11:00am ‘Intro to Plus’, session for Cat. She is planning on taking Plus starting next month so I’m ready to help! The caller we had moved pretty quickly through about 6 Plus calls throughout his three teaches in the hour. Not sure Cat will remember them but at least she knows of them when she sees them in class. We left the rig about 1:15pm and took the dogs with us back home. I had time to set up for the zoom call at 2:00pm. That went well and we are glad we came back to participate. This one today was just for those going on the land package (in Australia) after the cruise. We learned about the itinerary for the 6 days. We are doing a bunch of excursions, including the Great Barrier Reef via a catamaran, and snorkeling, or submersible: Bondi Beach, more swimming; Skyrail Rainforest Cableway; Aboriginal Experience; Sydney Opera house; and Rocks Market. We have to book our own ‘bridge walk’ tour for the Sydney Bridge. We also have to make sure that we have all our documents in order before we leave. Some of those can’t be completed until one week prior so we have that in our calendars. Once we were done, we hightailed it back to be on time for the 4:00pm dinner at Pop’s bbq. We did this last year. Shaun will call after dinner so the new dancers can earn a 'Pop’s' dangle badge. Cat sat out while I helped the recent graduates in a square. Then we headed back and went to the Mainstream Hall and danced for a bit. The hall is concrete and hard on the feet so Cat’s were sore. I did go over to the Plus hall and found Naomi who I danced with a few tips. Then we made our way back to the other hall, stopping by the vendors again. This time we are looking at buying embroidered Club jackets. The guy was there and Cat ordered them for us but wanted me to talk to him just to make sure she got me the right size. He said they should be getting to him in a few days and he will get them embroidered and on to us in time for the cruise. That works because we will want a lightweight jacket to wear during the evenings. Once we gathered up our stuff, we headed out to call it a night. Temps are in the 20s all night so we already had the motorhome warmed up for us after the short walk! We watched tv for a few minutes before calling it a night. We hope to be up and ready to make the 9:00am Heavenly Hoedown. I’ve never been but they do an hour of dancing to gospel music and Cat is excited!  Here are pics from the weekend so far, including Pop's…..

Oregon Living 2025 – Blog #3 – Disappointing Football & Getting Ink!

Sorry this post is so late... read on

Sunday, January 12th., 2025…… Sunny skies this morning!  Temps in the mid-40s when we woke up but it’s nice and bright!  Love these days!  I went out and got us breakfast and coffee while Cat walked and fed the girls. She headed off to church and I settled in and worked on my blog. I have the Steelers/Ravens game from last night running on Prime. Since I moved the living room tv into my office, I can get it in here. Later, I watched the Broncos/Bills game that I had taped. I knew my Broncos would not be up to the level of the Bills and I was right. Oh well, maybe next year!

Cathye got back and we decided to stay home this afternoon and skip the class in Sweet Home. We did go to our class later in the evening. I must have had low blood sugar because I wasn’t feeling well. They gave me cookies and I had some candy, but I decided I needed to go home early. Once home, I ate a banana and drank some protein shake and felt better. I thought back and discovered that I hadn’t had any protein since breakfast! We watched some tv then went to bed.

Monday, January 13th., 2025…… We had a few things today. We walked and fed the dogs then went to the gym and to breakfast. But we were back home in time to make Jama’s 11:40am appointment at her vet. She got her checkup and her shots, including rabies vaccination, and after that we drove straight from there to the Animal Control office in Albany and got her license. They were closed for lunch the first time we went there, so we decided to go hit the new bakery in Albany and see what they had to offer. They had empanadas so we each ordered one. They were dry so we didn’t finish them. But we shared a cinnamon roll which was tasty!  Once back from the afternoon, Rylee was reunited with all of her pack and we settled in for the afternoon. Jama slept like a log.

Tuesday, January 14th., 2024…… The only thing on our to do list today was the square dance workshop. So, we slept in a bit. We are greeting some really cold mornings. Below freezing the last few days. But no rain. The forecast says more rain will move in later this week. We went off to class and came back and rested for a while. I went off to KFC because we didn’t want to cook tonight. Tv and spa. A lazy day!

Wednesday, January 15th., 2025……  Happy Birthday Jody! Yesterday was quiet. Today was busy!  Cat had a 9:00am appointment at her dentist. When she got back from that, we headed down to Springfield (just east of Eugene). We had a 12:00pm appointment there, with Illya for our tattoos!  We both had to go through some permission and medical forms before he got started. I went first. My tattoo was going to take about 1 ½ hrs. It’s my second one, but this one is larger, more detailed, and has black, brown, yellow and white in it. He make a stencil transfer and I told him where I wanted it on my arm.

Then he peeled it back and got to work. I must say this one was a little tedious. Not too much pain, but if the work is in one area for too long, it can be irritable. He took a few breaks but got it done.

After I was done, he sterilized the area and then Cat went next. Her butterfly was smaller and would be on her left shoulder. It matches one that her bestie, Lona, has. I think he was done with hers in about an hour. The colors in it made it pop!

After we thanked and paid Illya, we headed back home. We needed to stop for gas but we got back in time for me to come in and grab by bylaws folder and head off to my 4:00pm meeting. Cathye fed the dogs and then later, met me at Sum Yan for dinner before the Club general meeting. A long day!

Thursday, January 16th., 2025…… We have an appointment for the washing machine part to be installed this morning. But we saw they said he would be here anytime from 11:00am to 1:00pm, so we had time to walk and feed the dogs, go to the gym, and go to Kristi’s for breakfast and still be back by 11:00am. He ended up coming early and it took him maybe 25 minutes to remove and replace the detergent/fabric softener dispenser tray.  Later, I headed off to my 1:15pm massage. Cathye followed at 2:30pm for hers. Dinner after that and we were done for the day. We can shower with the tattoos but not soak, so no spa for us for a week or so.

Friday, January 17th., 2025…… Tattoos itch both of us. I don’t know if it’s the work or the tape over the tattoos. But if we can leave them on for the 6 day period, he says we won’t have any scabs or anything. So, we’re trying…

We walked and fed the dogs and had breakfast. Later in the afternoon, we headed over to Philomath (about 30 miles) to go have lunch at David and Omalie’s place. They live up in the foothills below Mary’s Peak. We had a great lunch (David made the best soup!) and a great visit. When we got home, we fed the girls and relaxed. No dinner - later, we munched on some snacks for a little while we watched tv.

Saturday, January 18th., 2025…… Temps are really cold here now!  And I mean cold!  Lows in the mid-20s!  We are layering our clothes now! High today will be mid-40s. We don’t have any plans to go out until later.  It is our Club dance tonight. We are in charge of the kitchen so we had to go a little early. The dance was fun, but we only danced a little. I am not feeling all that well so I was glad to get home after the day. I’m not sure if it had to do with my low blood sugar again, but I didn’t have any energy tonight. Not sure when I'll feel like doing the blog.

Oregon Living 2025 – Blog #2 – Cleaning Up After Christmas & Celebrating Penny’s Birthday!

Sunday, January 5th., 2025…… Today was kind of busy for us. We started out with walking and feeding the dogs and getting breakfast. Later, we headed off to Sweet Home to our sister club’s new beginner’s class. We chose to go there today instead of the beginner’s dance that was going on in Salem. They have plenty of support up there (we heard later that they had 5 squares!).  We had some time after this class to go home and fix and eat dinner before leaving again for our beginner’s class. As of tonight, they have had all of the Mainstream calls and are officially done. Tonight they practiced and did some variations just for practice. Their graduation is coming up in a few weeks. Then Shaun will move into Plus. Cathye is thinking about taking this class but we will be gone for several weeks while on our cruise. Shaun will give me a list of the calls she will miss and I will work with her on them.  We’ll see if she follows through and goes.  After class, we decided to skip the afterparty and go home and rest for the evening.

Monday, January 6th., 2025…… We slept in this morning but were up and going after that. We did our dog walk and then went to the gym and then to Kevin’s for breakfast. We have sun today!  So, we went to work this morning, moving all of the Christmas boxes into the garage. I did have to put a charger on Cat’s lawn tractor for the battery and let that run. After a nice break, I went out and moved the mowers and got everything put back up on the shelves. I took pics beforehand so it was super easy and everything fit!  We were done for the day!

Tuesday, January 7th., 2024…… Cathye and Robin and Lona are driving up to Vancouver (WA) to visit with a long time local girlfriend who has moved there. I think it’s her birthday and they are planning on going to The Cracker Barrel there for lunch. Robin came by at 9:00am to pick her up. I don’t expect them back until later this afternoon. I vacuumed the house and then worked on last week’s blog and got that posted. I also worked on my ‘book’ for the year. In that book, I always tape in schedules for races for Nascar, IndyCar, F1, and motocross, as well as Mecum and Barrett-Jackson auctions. The dates and times are there so I can record them throughout the season. Motocross starts this weekend! I also use that book for America’s Got Talent, Tough as Nails, The Summit, and The Masked Singer. I have separate books each for:  Survivor, The Amazing Race and Dancing With the Stars. Yeah, I’m a tv nerd!  I left and went to Charlotte’s Late Bloomer Workshop and helped out there. After that, I came back home and fixed dinner and relaxed from the day.  Cathye got home around 5:00pm and ate a bit and we settled in to tv and spa and then bed.

Wednesday, January 8th., 2025…… HAPPY BIRTHDAY SIS!  We had no plans today other than dinner with family. We’re going to take Penny and Butch and Cherrelyn to dinner at The Point this afternoon. We did spend some time watching the SoCal fires on tv. It’s hard to believe that so many homes were swept up in the 5 fires in the area. All of our friends and family down there are safe and away from those areas affected.  We went off to Walmart to get Penny a gift card, then to Walgreen’s to pick up a Prescription. Then we headed over to Grace’s house to drop off the New Year’s decorations so she could get them back into the Club’s trailer. Later, Butch and Penny came by and we visited for a bit before headed off together to Sweet Home. We met Cherrelyn there and all had a nice meal.

We got back and those guys left. We settled in and watched tv for the rest of the evening.

Thursday, January 9th., 2025…… A nice day for us! Sunny and warmer than normal. The coast saw temps in the mid-60s. We got up to 57°. But as the sun went down, it got considerably colder. Temps are supposed to get down to the low 30s tonight. Rain tomorrow. We went to the gym and then to Kristi’s. We stopped at Walmart on the way back.  I had called Illya, Cherrelyn's tattoo guy, who has moved to Eugene from Venice Beach in SoCal. I am looking at getting an eagle on my right forearm...

and our guy that did my last one has moved to Portland. We drove down and met with him. We made an appointment for both of us next week. Cathye is getting a butterfly on her shoulder...

Tonight was the Notre Dame/Penn St. semi-final football game so I watched that. Then we watched some taped shows, hit the spa, and then went to bed.

Friday, January 10th., 2025…… I don’t think we left the house at all today. When we got up this morning it was raining pretty hard, so we skipped walking the dogs. It was not freezing rain, so we liked that!  Temps today in the 40s. We just hung around and relaxed for the day. Later, Cathye made The Pioneer Woman’s cheeseburger pie recipe that I had seen on Facebook. I was her sous chef. It turned out nice! And it was pretty tasty. Not fancy or hard to make.

I watched the second playoff game which was Texas/Ohio St. It will be Notre Dame vs. Ohio St. in the championship game. The rest of the night we watched our shared programs and tried to get caught up. Spa, then bed.

Saturday, January 11th., 2025…… We slept in this morning and then got up and showered and walked the dogs. They missed out yesterday so there were many smells today! Later, after breakfast, I worked on the blog and then watched the NFL wild card games, Chargers/Texans, and then later, Steelers/Ravens. Later, we ate dinner and then got dressed and headed off to Corvallis for a dance. It is the last of the local dances supporting the new classes. Our class has had all of the calls so they are ready. If they went to 6 of the 8 new-dancer dances, they would earn a “new dancer ambassador’ swinger for their Club badge. The dance was fun but there weren’t too many of our Club members there for support. There was another dance in Sweet Home that was competing and I guess most of them chose that one. We had fun and helped out a few of our class members. Cathye is doing better with her stamina. She is dancing a full tip again, so maybe she is kicking this thing, whatever it is! When we got home, we let the girls out then watched tv for a while then headed off to bed.

Oregon Living 2025 – Blog #1 – Getting Ready For the New Year!

Sunday, December 29th., 2024…… Another rainy day. We are both tired of the gloom, so when we do get sun, we rejoice! I know – we could always move to the sunny climates. But we put up with the rain to get the green! And we won’t trade that for anything! Today was just light rain but the wind has been pretty bad. Last couple of days we have seen some constant rain. As mentioned before, we are getting a lot of water in the fields and the streams are full. That means the water table is building up. As for us personally, we don’t notice too much difference. Our lawn is soggy and will stay that way well until Spring. Rylee’s dragstrip is full one day and empty the next. But she doesn’t run as much in the winter, so we’re lucky in that respect! But we still have to wipe down all 8 paws whenever they go out and about. Cathye went off to church and on the way got a call from Gail, our cuer for New Year’s asking if we were going to Sweet Home’s new dancer class starting today. Her husband Bill, was going to be our New Year’s Baby at the dance but he is sick. So, she wanted to pass on his apparel so we could go find another person. They live in Sweet Home, so it would be an easy drive for her. Since Cathye’s church is in Sweet Home, she called to say she would just hang there and go shopping and would meet me at class. No worries, but we were in two cars. It’s 15 miles there so that’s not too bad.  Cathye was there when I arrived and Gail came by and dropped off the bag. After class, we had time to go home and eat a bit before heading off to our Club’s beginner’s class. That went well (and we found another recruit to be our Baby!) but we declined the after party and just came home and rested. Tv and then bed.

Monday, December 30th., 2024…… I had it in my mind to drive over to Corvallis and look into getting parts for the canopy for our truck. So, we showered and walked and fed the dogs then headed out. We went to the gym but instead of hitting Kevin’s, we drove the truck over to Corvallis and went to Wisecracks for breakfast. After their delicious coffee and breakfast, I stopped by Pro Truck and got two struts for replacement on the back window ($40.00 total so not too bad). When we got home, I had the old ones off and the new ones on in less than 10 minutes. We are good to go! When I came in, Cathye was already working on her project for today – Christmas packing! I finished up the Christmas villages and we got the base out to the back porch. I think we are 90% done. We just have a few items to wrap and pack and then get to the back porch. My next order of business was to get the hams sliced up. We had them out yesterday and they were just right to run through our slicer. We spent 20 minutes or so on that project and then cleaned up the slicer and the kitchen. We rested for a while before I went to work on filling up some balloons for tomorrow night. We have a check list (ok – I have one in my head!) for things we need to do tomorrow to get ready before we leave for the dance. I probably won’t sleep tonight!

Tuesday, December 31st., 2024…… I’m still buzzing about our New Year’s dance tonight!  I was all over the place this morning, going through the boxes and making sure my costume was all packed. We don’t want to leave for the dance and have to come back for anything! After all that, we got the roaster going and heated up the ham slices. Cathye poured pineapple juice in it for more flavor. I think we are ready, so we relaxed for the morning and afternoon. Later, we got the roaster loaded and I got dressed for the dance. Cathye stayed in her street clothes and will change at the dance after we get everything set up. We got there and waited for Grace to use her keys and unlock the doors and turn off the alarms. Then we unloaded everything and went to work. There were probably 10-12 people there by then and we all went about our tasks. Everyone was checking in with me for how we wanted the dining tables and chairs and serving table set up.

Cathye took charge of the serving tables and got that set up. We got a lot of comments as to why it was so long and why it was out in the room so far? You will see later….  I had no issues getting the fishing line up and over the ac pipes in the ceiling and had the ‘ball’ installed and set up. Then I went to work setting up the photo op booth.

We have a bunch of fun signs on sticks to have them pose with and they were set out too. Cheryl was in charge of the gift table and set up for that. I went behind stage and stored my costume for later. Cathye got her charges going and they were ready for the food and guests before the scheduled 6:00pm time!  I think everything took maybe an hour and 20 minutes. But we were ready!  Folks came in and signed in and found tables in the back. The 2 callers and two cuers had already set up on the stage. I welcomed the guests and asked that they start in on the buffet. Our Club members were astonished that we had all of the guests (we had 62 for dinner) through the line and seated in 10 minutes!  That meant they had time to eat before Jackie cued the pre-rounds at 6:30pm. At 7:00, Shaun handed me the mike and I welcomed our guests and gave them our schedule for the evening. Cheryl explained the gift table and how to see if they had won.

The night went well. My special ‘no-hands tip’ went well. We had six squares and everyone got a special no hands badge just for dancing, calling or judging.

I think the dancers had fun and they did really well dancing the calls without using hands. It took Shaun quite a while before he had one square left. The last square got a special color badge…

It was great that that square had both seasoned as well as brand new dancers in it!  Later, as we got close to the 9:00pm ball drop, I went over the process with Shaun. Gracie (baby new year) and I went backstage and changed.  Shaun found a countdown app on his phone and was ready. Cathye and her crew had poured the sparkling cider toast and folks got their drinks and went out to the floor.  As we got to the countdown of 10…9…, Frank started slowly lowering the ball. I came out from the right side of the stage and we pushed 2024 out and as we got down to 3…2…1… the 2025 baby came out from stage left.  I don’t think the crowd expected that! HAPPY NEW YEAR! Shaun played Auld Lang Syne and we all celebrated! After that, they called the first tip of the year and our crew could finally relax. We danced the final hour and finished at 10:00pm. Next up was cleanup, which went quickly. The only issue we had was when we were taking things out to the truck, the skies opened up! I was now in my t-shirt and shorts and sandals so I got wet coming and going!  But we were all out by the required 10:30pm time. The drive home was sooo relaxing!  All of the work we and our team had put in had paid off!  We had a final count of 76 (some came after dinner to just dance) and we had planned for 80 so it worked out. We watched tv for a few minutes and unwound to where we could finally go to sleep. Happy New Year to All!!!

Here are some pics from the evening....

Wednesday, January 1st., 2025…… When we got in last night, I had backed the truck up to the garage door and we just left it there. The roaster that was in the back of the truck was good to go outside because it was in the high 30s last night.  I brought that in and we put the ham in baggies and cleaned up the roaster. I emptied the truck out. I think we totaled up 4 totes and 4 tote bags of decorations and stuff. Some of the stuff like tape and pins and the fishing reel and such were ours so I went through all of that and got that separated. I left the rest for tomorrow. I had taped the Rose Parade so when Cat got up and going, we had coffee and breakfast and watched that. The rest of the day was spent just relaxing. Cat had planned on making bean soup with the trimmings that we had saved after slicing. She uses lima beans for her soup which I always love!  It was a quiet day!

Thursday, January 2nd., 2025…… We wanted to go to the gym and breakfast this morning but today we have an appointment to have the washer looked at. The fabric softener dispenser isn’t working right. They told Cat that they would be here anywhere from 10:00am to 12:00pm, so we couldn’t leave. So, we ate in today. The guy showed up at 10:30am and got to work. We will need a new internal dispenser tray which he will order. Should be two weeks. Cathye went to get eggs from our neighbor and then on to visit with Judy. I finished up with the New Year’s boxes and they are now ready to turn in. While I was resting, Cat called and asked if I wanted to go to Kristi’s for lunch. She drove back and picked me up and we had a nice burger meal. Hey, we missed going there for breakfast! After that, we came back home and I worked on getting all of the Christmas boxes out on the back deck.  Rains are still around. They say we are going to get even more this week and into next.

Friday, January 3rd., 2025……  We slept in this morning. The rains were pretty steady so we skipped the dog walk. When Penny came by later and saw the garage doors were closed, she called to see if we were home! Later, I went over and helped her put her Christmas decorations away in the garage racks. We still need to do ours. They are still on the back porch but at least all of them are out of the house now!  Nothing left on our to do list so we just relaxed today.

Saturday, January 4th., 2025…… Tonight is our Club dance. Just a regular dance so we don’t have to do any more setup other than chairs and tables. The next item on our square dance list is our Mid-Winter. That will be 1/23-1/26. We already are registered and have our rv reservations. At the dance we were also told that we were on the committee for Camp Koinonia coming up in March after we get back from our cruise.  Since we were on the committee last year, I guess Cheryl assumed we would do it again!  She and Mike were on our New Year’s committee so she is calling in the favor. It’s no big deal because Cheryl has it pretty much in hand. After the dance, we headed back home and relaxed and watched tv until bed.
