Oregon Living 2022 – Blog #32 – The Honeymoon Starts!

  

Sunday, August 7^th., 2022……  We had some more errands to run today. Cathye headed off to church and I went and got breakfast. I did some laundry for the last minute items we wanted to include for our trip. I did catch up on some of the Little League World Series Regional games. They will continue on through the week but I won’t tape those and will just wait until Wednesday when they get to Williamsport. I also caught up on the Nascar races too.

Monday, August 8^th., 2022……  We had everything packed. Ok, I had everything packed! Cathye finished up and we were ready! We ran off to Albany and gave Jamie his money and talked with him a bit about his future. Mental Health Services has been working with Cathye trying to find him a better place to live. If they can get him qualified, he could possibly move to a home care facility where he will receive more care. They have talked with Cathye this past week and they say they now have an opening at a place here in Lebanon that has a room and they are trying to get him in there. So, she spent some time this morning talking to Jamie and getting his take on all of this. So far, it’s in the preliminary stages but we want Jamie to have time to process all of this since it’s a life-changing step for him. His living blood relatives (aunt and brother) are both in the Phoenix area and are saying they are good with this. The alternative to that is to turn over his care to them and nobody wants that, including Jamie. So, this is the best thing and we all hope they get approval!      

Tuesday, August 9^th., 2022……   We were up early this morning. We walked and fed the dogs, then got the last minute items together and packed and the bags put in the back of the truck. I had already loaded up the foldable ebike that we were taking up to Josh. Cathye took Jama over to Misty and Lona’s and were ready to go!  Josh gets off of work at 3:30pm so we planned to get up there by then. We fed Butthead early and headed out. Cherrelyn will be here in a few hours and will stay the week to take care of Rylee and watch the house and do some watering. It was an easy ride up to Portland and we got to Josh’s apartment and unloaded the bike and he came out and continued on with us to check in to the Airport Radisson. We chose them because they offered park and fly, where you can leave your vehicle there and shuttle to the airport. When we booked the room, we were told (by the third party booking company) that parking for the week was included in our quoted rate. But, when we got to the hotel, they informed us it was not!  After some complaining, they agreed to add on $5.00 for each of the 6 days it will be there. I relented after running everything in my head about moving hotels or driving to the per day airport parking lot and agreed and we were all happy. We got checked in and then all went down to the hotel dining room for dinner (very good start!). We discovered they had no pool/spa so we decided to go see Bullet Train. Wow, we were glad we did!  It was an excellent movie – given the language and extreme violence – and Brad Pitt was the perfect person for the role! After that, we drove Josh back home and came back to the bar around 9:00pm and had a drink before heading off to bed. Our shuttle tomorrow is at 7:00am.       

Wednesday, August 10^th., 2022……  We were up early, showered and got going. We ate at the hotel and made the shuttle for the 5 min. ride to the airport. Super easy check-in and TSA. We had mimosas before boarding. 

It was a nice flight. 5 ½ hours – but going first class made it easy!  I have National Emerald Aisle membership so we headed straight for the parking lot. The ONLY thing available was a Nissan Sentra but we had those before and were good with that. We got to our hotel with no issues. We will be at the Waikiki Beach Marriott Hotel and Spa for 6 nights. We chose valet parking which is $50.00 per day. Yeah, we know!  But self-parking was $45.00 per day. Go figure!  (note - valet worked perfectly and was the way to go!). We unpacked and rested and then got a delivery!  Champagne on ice, compliments of our hotel! Nice!  We took a couple of pics of the view from our room plus one of the gift

and then walked down and crossed the street and went over to the beach and got our feet wet. We were here! We stopped and got shave ice and then went back to the hotel to rest a bit. The hotel has several bars and restaurants. Tonight, we chose Queensbreak Bar and Grill and had drinks and a nice meal. It’s 3 hours earlier her than in Oregon, so we had to adjust to the time. Later we went down to the hotel concierge desk and got booked for Pearl Harbor/Missouri tour, Coral Crater zipline tour, and reserved our entry time for Diamond Head. I had to do that one online but that was easy. We did choose the 6:00am entry but parking was not available at that time. So we will be getting a cab or uber for that morning. I also have to go online to book us in Hanauma Bay for snorkeling. They say you need to book 2 days prior and must be online at 7:00am and times go fast!  We have that on our list of things to do on Friday morning! We already have the Polynesian Cultural Center booked and paid for. That one is for tomorrow, so we think we’ve got everything covered. More on that later! Then, it was back to the room and early to bed (9:00pm).          

Thursday, August 11^th., 2022……  I discovered early this morning that our tickets for the Polynesian Cultural Center were NOT for today, but were on Monday!  So, we looked at our schedule and decided that we could do the Pearl Harbor/Missouri tour and then drive to the North Shore and still be ok to do both venues. Wheew!  But we will stop by the concierge again to see if something can be changed. We walked down to the main drag (Kalakaua Ave.) and looked for breakfast. We chose Kai’s and had coffee and sandwiches. Just ok.  We then got the car and headed to the Dole Pineapple Plantation. We were there before the 10:00am opening, so we chose to continue on and hit the North Shore. This is where surfing – as we know it – began. Of course, Duke Kahanamoku was the originator of modern surfing, but those at North Shore put surfing on the map for the world to see. I remember watching tv and seeing the kids out at Waimea Bay and Banzai Pipeline surfing the big waves. In my generation (including my surfing days) we all used longboards and it was so nice to see them still being used here. It was off season for the humongous 20 footers and the perfect pipeline curls but at least we got to see the beach. We will be going back later but turned around in time to get parked and get tickets for the train and garden tour combo and got on the train before the crowds got crazy. The train was ok and the grounds were amazing!  We shopped and had pineapple drinks and ice cream. We left there and decided to continue on to the north shore. Just a quick note – Honolulu/Waikiki Beach is on the south shore and the drive across is 45-65 minutes. We stopped at Waimea Bay and hit the parking lot of a road!  We inched our way around the island there and I guess that was good because we could get a good look at the beaches, houses, and little villages as we passed by very slowly.  We stopped at Shark’s Cove and found some food trucks. We chose fish tacos. Cathye had a pineapple drink – inside removed and pulped into juice and then put back into the pineapple. It was pricey $12.00 – but very fresh and tasty! We continued on past the Polynesian Cultural Center, where we will be on Monday, and then we stopped at Punaluu Beach and walked on the beach. After we made our way back to the hotel and rested up a bit, we walked down to the main street and went to Cheeseburgers in Paradise for lunch. I had been before when we were last in HI, so it was a must-do for me. We split a cheeseburger and onion rings and we both found it the best meal so far! We walked out to the beach and stayed out to see the sunset. We topped it off with champagne in our room! A fun day!    

    

Friday, August 12^th., 2022…… Our Zipline tour was today and we had to be out on there by 9:30am for our 10:00am tour. So Cathye slept in and I got online to try to get a reservation for Hanauma Bay. Long story short, we did not get one!  So we then headed out. We drove through the local Jack in the Box for a quick meal and made the drive out H2 to the west side. We discovered when we got to Coral Crater Adventure that the girl at Jack in the Box did not give us our credit card back!  We found their number and called, and yes, they had it, and yes, they would hold it for us for pickup later!  Wheew!  So, we felt a lot better when we went in to get suited up for our zipline tour! We bought the long 6-line tour and we had already signed our waivers and we were ready. We were not disappointed! Our guides Nick and Dillon, did a great job and made it fun. This is really a crater and you would never see it driving past!  We saw some of the local resident pigs and turtles and then hit the first zipline.

Some were short ladders or steps and some were way up!  We had to hike from one section of the park to the other and the hikes were pretty tough!  But we had trained for the hike up Diamond Head so we were ok with that! We even did a double where we were paired up and raced to the end. The first one I won but she said “I was sightseeing.” The second one I gave her a head start and it was a tie!  They had a few spots to stop and take pics and such. We also saw the quads down below us on the trails and also the obstacle course tower. Both of those were separate tours. We changed out of our gear and took off to head back to get the credit card back. Yep, no worries. They even gave us our receipt too! After we got back, we rested up a bit and then went down and hit Cheeseburgers in Paradise again. This time, we had lunch there. Then we changed and went to the pool for a few hours. Cathye had gone online and found and booked us a sunset dinner cruise for tonight. Tonight was also fireworks night on the beach!  We got dressed up and took a cab to the marina (maybe 3 miles) and he found our boat. BTW, this is the same marina that they used to film the opening scenes for Gilligan’s Island, way back when!  When we saw the boat, we discovered that this was only going to be a drink/party cruise!  They apologized for the confusion saying they change up their cruises and they failed to update the website!  We hadn’t eaten because of this trip and they had NO FOOD on the boat so we were not going to go and would forfeit this as a loss for the night. But they said they would credit back the cruise costs. We’ll see… Anyway, we called an uber and got a ride back to Waikiki Beach. We chose The Royal Hawaiian Plaza. This place has the famous pink hotel right on the beach. Although now it is surrounded by a huge area with stores and restaurants. We chose Il Lupino for Italian and we were not disappointed! We ordered Blue Hawaiians (supposedly invented here) and then split the seafood fettucine.  Both were amazing! After that, we made the short walk back along the beach to our hotel, stopping to see the Friday night fireworks. Not really. Those of us on the east side of the Sheraton could not see too much. They were barely visible and hundreds of us all left disappointed. We got back home and went to bed early. Tomorrow was a big day and we need to be up early!         

Saturday, August 13^th., 2022……   We had the alarm set for 4:30am! We got dressed, got our hydration pack, hiking sticks, and hiking shoes out and on and went down to get a cab. The cab dropped us off ($20. w/tip) 15 minutes later at the Diamond Head National Park entrance. This is actually a tunnel on the north end of the volcano.  Since we were there early enough, we got to see the sunrise!  At 6:00am they opened the gates and we walked through and got to the check-in gate and showed them our tickets. We were ready!  We made the hike up and got to see the beautiful view along the way. We stopped when we needed a breather and walked at a good rate for us. We hit the 175 total stairs and made them with little issues. This is what we had trained for! We were the ‘old geezers’ on the mountain and met and spent time with some really nice folks both going up and coming down. 

We had some quality time up on the peak and saw the beautiful views of the beaches and houses down below. When we got back to the start of the trail, we estimated that we were up there for a total of just over 2 hours. We met another older gentleman (87) who told us he walks it every day and used to run it when younger. He said he made it up and down in 26 minutes one time!  Amazing!  Once we got an uber back, and got to our room, we rested for a few minutes and showered and then walked down to CIP again. Since it was still before 10:00am we had breakfast there. Once we were done, we came back and got the car and drove over to the college football stadium to the swap meet there. We were told this was the place to go for shopping. It was huge!  We only got 1/8 of the way through before Cathye found everything on her list. We came back and rested and then walked out to Kalakaua Ave. again. This time we went the other way and found and chose Lulu’s for dinner. We both enjoyed our meals. I chose steak tacos and she chose mahi mahi. We both had mai tai’s but had to send them back because they were way too strong!  After that, we stopped by our pool area and watched the fire dancer. Really cool! Or I guess really hot! We were given a card for a free dvd rental and chose ‘Dog” with Channing Tatum, which we both liked. Sad, but also funny. I returned it to the rental machine and went back and we crashed from the long day!  

Oregon Living 2022 – Blog #31 – Staying Cool and Spending More Time Prepping For Our Trip

 

Sunday, July 31^st., 2022…… First up, CONGRATS to my dear wife!  For the month of July, Cathye was working with her daughter and some of her friends who decided to try to walk and log 100 miles for the month of July! They all have FitBits, and were able to track their steps/miles. Even with the days after her surgery, Cathye was able to make her 100 miles at the end of the day yesterday! Later, we logged in the last 3 miles to make 103. That meant she made an avg. of 3.3 miles each day!  I am so proud of her! She’s amazing! 

Meanwhile, the heat has not let up!  Temps in the high 90s all of last week!  They say we will get a slight break, starting today, where it will only be in the high 80s. Still hot, but we’ll take it! We found out that Corey will have the kids all of the week that he is here and not at work. So, that made us re-think our plans yet again!  We decided to take a hike and sort it out and try to come up with a plan. We took the doggies and headed up to McDowell Creek and hiked around there. It was mostly in the shade but there was just no wind moving and it was humid so that didn’t help relieve us much!  But, Rylee managed to find a couple of areas where she could sneak down for a quick dip in the cool water!

When we got home, I called Cherrelyn and she said she will be able to come work from here next week and can watch Rylee.  But since Jama requires a bed – and people – to sleep with – and Cherrelyn’s not comfortable with animals on her bed, - we have asked Judy and/or Misty who will keep Jama while we are gone. So, we are relieved again!  Once we got that resolved, we can relax and take care of the days ahead, prepping for the trip. But first up, we have an outing tomorrow!       

Monday, August 1^st., 2022…… We were up early and did our walk with the dogs, got them fed, and then headed off to do our walk. Then, we headed over to Sweet Home to pick up the great grandkids. Today, we were surprising them with a day at The Enchanted Forest. Other than grandma and grandpa taking them to breakfast, they knew nothing of the rest of the day. We got them and we stopped at McDonalds for breakfast, before heading the 45 miles up I5 to the park. We had already purchased the entry tickets online, but we had to wait in line for the ride tickets. Back in 2019, Lydia and I and Frances and Penny had had taken Raymond here and at that time they had all-day bracelets.  They said they weren’t doing that anymore so we bought a package of tickets for the kids. That worked out well and they used them up on all of the rides that they wanted. The lines weren’t too bad and the weather was nicer there, so all in all, it was a fun day!  I only had to yell at them once on the way in the car to let them know they had to behave or I would turn the car around and take them home! Again, a very nice day! Here are some pics.

The park was built in 1964 and is still run by the original owners. As you can see, this is a very old park and the rides are more tame than most of us Disney and Magic Mountain veterans are used too!  But the kids had fun and we did too and it was a great day! 

Tuesday, August 2^nd., 2022…… We ran errands today after our walks.  We headed to Albany. I needed some parts for the pressure washer and a new timer for one of the sprinkler lines, plus we needed to go pay Jamie’s rent and give him his weekly money, so we did that and topped it off with a run to Costco as long as we were out! We stocked up on things for the freezer that Cherrelyn can eat (as she wants) while we are gone. We also did laundry so we can begin to pack for the trip.  

Wednesday, August 3^rd., 2022……  We were up earlier than usual today. After walking and feeding the girls, we drove to the high school in separate cars. After our bleacher jaunt, Cathye headed off to SHEM and I stopped and got myself some breakfast on the way home. After posting my blog, I headed out to work on the pressure washing task at hand. My goal this morning was to get the concrete pad in front of the shop garage done and then push out all of the dirt and stuff over the asphalt driveway and into the grass/flowerbeds. I did that pretty easily and was back in the house before Cathye even got back home!   Later in the evening, Cathye asked me to look at her right eye. There was some swelling and it was red. She said it felt like sandpaper in her eye so we suspect the inside stitches were doing that. I put a hot compress on it and she took some Tylenol and relaxed and was better by bedtime.    

Thursday, August 4^th., 2022……  This morning we were up and out with the dogs early. We fed them and then headed over to our walk/steps then went on from there to Albany. We stopped at Rogers Café for breakfast then headed over to my estate planner for our meeting with him. Cathye needed to make some changes and/or updates and I like this guy so we are meeting with him. It went well. First up we made changes to my documents and then she got to ask questions and they came up with a path for her wishes. We were pretty well prepared so we don’t have that many assignments after we leave there. We were also able to go out this evening and catch the show in Monteith Park. In the summer months, they have concerts in the park. They only ask for $1.00 donation. Misty went over earlier in the morning and staked out a spot with blankets. Tonight it was AЯRIVAL. They are a Swedish cover band for Abba. 

They were pretty good but I was never a true Abba fan, so I was not too much into it. Cathye ended up having some more eye pain. She asked to leave early and we came home and repeated the hot compress treatment. She will be calling the surgeon tomorrow.    

Friday, August 5^th., 2022…… The hot weather is letting up but barely. Only a few degrees lower this week! We try to get to the high school early. Still in the low 90s! Misty came by and borrowed my truck for her kayak day out with friends. Cathye called the surgeon’s office and they asked her to take a picture so they could evaluate and see next steps. We did that and they got back to us a little later and said that the doctors conferred and said what we thought – probably a result of a dissolving stitch. No need to go in - we were doing exactly what they said to do to treat it.  Mario showed up today to work because he had other commitments on Saturday.  I had left out the pressures washers so we just started in again where we left off last time. It only took an hour or so and we had everything done!  It feels so nice to have a clean walkway and driveway again. We’re not sure when Walt last did anything like this (or even if he ever did) but we got all of the gunk and muck washed off and it looks better than I’ve ever seen it. Now, we just need to stay on each year. 

Saturday, August 6^th., 2022……   We were out this morning early again and did our dog and training walks and then brought breakfast home to eat. Today was mowing day!  Since we don’t have rain, I have been running the sprinklers every day to keep things green. I shut everything off last night so we could get to work early today. There was wet grass from the dew but it wasn’t a problem in most areas that got early sunlight. I had to run out and get more gas for the mowers (and that is a sticker shock since I have to use non-ethanol @ $6.10 a gallon!) Penny came over and the three of us knocked it out in a little over an hour!  We were done for the day!  Cherrelyn came by and we gave her a rundown of things around the house she needed to get refreshed about. Later, we met with Rich and Linda, our neighbors to the west, who have asked us to water their plants and veggies next week when they leave town. Of course we will be gone and Cori across the street will do it until we get back and then we can take over. But we needed to know when and where we were to water so that was needed, plus we had a nice visit as well.   

Oregon Living 2022 – Blog #30 – Staying Cool and Getting Ready For Our Trip

 

Sunday, July 24^th., 2022…… Boy, it is hot here now!  But we don’t plan on being outside for too long, so we’re good! Cathye continues to improve. Her major complaint now is the stitches that are irritating her eyes, both inside and out. They decided to put in all-dissolving stiches so she doesn’t have to go back to the doctor’s office. But that means the dissolve process has to happen by itself, which is going way slower than she wants! She says it feels like there is sand in her eyes, which is, of course, the inside stitches dissolving. But she has used her eyedrops and that has really helped.  Judy will be staying here and watching the house and taking care of the dogs when we leave for Hawaii next month, so she came by to visit and get comfortable with everything. Later, we fixed some yakisoba noodles (Costco) and added shrimp. Yummy! Later, we were able to watch tv together and she had no problem.  

Monday, July 25^th., 2022…… Most of the irritation is gone now and Cathye feels almost back to normal. There is barely noticeable redness and the unknowing would never know she had surgery. We went to Kevin’s for breakfast and no one noticed.  We had Brandon for a few hours today while Corey ran some errands. I have been on the phone for three days now calling Exxon Mobil about my gas card. This is the only card that I have that Lydia was the primary on. Long story short, they could not transfer the account to me, even after 38 years with us both on the account and me paying the account! I have to apply for a brand new card! Talk about indifferent! The weather is still hot today. Temps in the 90s!  Cathye is able to water her garden and went out and picked blueberries while I spent some time working on the second sprinkler system. This is on the west side of the driveway and has been giving me fits for the past few years. I made some changes and it is functional but I think eventually I will need to rip out the system and start over. But for now, we can at least get some water on the grass and most of the plants until I decide to tear it up. Cathye looked up movie theaters where Elvis was playing. We fed the dogs early and then headed over to Corvallis for the show. We both loved it!  All of the primary characters were spot on!  And Austin Butler did an excellent job as Elvis! 

Tuesday, July 26^th., 2022…… Today we started our prep for Hawaii. We will be hiking up to Diamond Head so we wanted to get ready for that. We headed over to the high school track/football stadium to walk the track and take a couple or three trips up and down the grandstand stairs. It was going to be a hot day so we went early and did our walk and the stairs and came right back home. Now these are not the large stadium bleachers in the larger schools, but they are in the shade in the mornings and will do perfectly for this purpose!

We will be doing this every day until Aug. 9^th when we leave for our trip. 

We have Corey coming this week to work off a loan for his new tires. We have him string trimming and cleaning up the area out back by the tree line. As I said, it’s super hot so he will only be working a few hours a day. Today, he has Brandon so I got Rylee’s pool cleaned up and filled for them to cool off. Rylee loves the cold water. Brandon not so much. But he is a kid so he got used to it and had a blast!  Cathye sat out there with them (without a hat) and got sunburned on her face. But she had on her sunglasses!

She has been going to the local tanning booth every day (again, in prep for the Hawaii trip!) but I guess the rays today got the better of her! Later, we went out and did some more work on the sprinklers on the west side of the driveway. I have most of those lines open and clear, but there are a few that I still need to work on. Once it got too hot (97° today), and Corey and Brandon had left, we came in to the ac for the rest of the day. Cathye fixed stuffed salmon and also made some grilled zucchini and we had a nice meal before settling in and watching tv until bedtime.    

Wednesday, July 27^th., 2022……  Cathye headed off to SHEM early this morning so we will probably do our bleacher run later when it’s cooler. Temps are not expected to go down any time soon. Expected high today is 95°!  I hung around the house this morning. I was waiting for Brittany to come and get the title for the Jeep. She is going today to the DMV to compete the registration process.  Corey came by and started in with more weeding. He is doing a great job and actually began pulling out the deadwood from the trees out back. They were ‘widowmakers’ and we both agreed they needed to go asap. Sure looks good now! After Cathye got home, I left to go get some more parts and pieces for the sprinklers. But it’s too darn hot out there today to work on, so I stayed in and got caught up on some of my taped programs.  After everyone left, we fed the dogs then went out for a drive. We went down to Eugene to Tractor Supply.  I wanted to go look at tiedowns for the truck and I remember seeing what I wanted there. We got what we needed and then decided to go to The Roadhouse in Springfield for dinner there. Hey, we had a gift card!  Turns out the gift card was for The Texas Roadhouse, which is similar, but not the same place!  No worries, we still had a nice meal. We got back and fed the girls, then headed off to the school for our walk.

We finished up watching tv until bedtime. Our new show right now is The Challenge: USA. This is a competition with 18 teams from four reality series shows – Survivor, The Amazing Race, Big Brother, and Love Island. I’m not a fan of the last two so I have my favorites to win the $500k. We’ve seen the first show and neither of us are fans of all of the clubhouse drama. They spend a lot of time on relationships and love/hate within the groups. We would rather watch the competition but will probably finish the series to see how it goes.           

Thursday, July 28^th., 2022……  Another hot day!  They say it will be 100° in Portland today!  We’re supposed to get to 97 today!  We left for our track/bleacher walk 

then I drove us over to Albany for breakfast. We chose Elmer’s and split the German Pancake. We also had to drop off some paperwork for Jamie to fill out and we wanted to hit GNC for some supplements we were low on. After that, we came back home and I worked on re-installing the timers I previously had in the island flowerbed (now Cathye’s playground) and the blueberry/grape areas. When Judy comes to dog/house sit, she won’t have to worry about going out there for that. I got that done and came in to rest. Cathye hit the tanning store again. She is up to 10 minutes a day working on her Hawaiian tan for next month. I’m too claustrophobic to get into one of those ‘cocoons’, so I’ll be doing my tanning around the house for now.       

Friday, July 29^th., 2022…… We have changed our plans for our housesitter!  Judy is not really comfortable with being here and having to take care of this place as opposed to her little trailer and her little dog. So, we have asked Corey if he can stay here for that period. He is good for that but we still need to fill in a couple of days when Corey will be working a different shift and won’t be here to feed the dogs. But we are working on that….

We also have made our reservations for three more things. 1) We are going to the Polynesian Cultural Center and have that completed. 2) We booked the night before the Hawaii trip at a hotel in Portland because we have an early flight and don’t want to make the drive up there at O-dark hundred! 3) We want to take the grandkids to Enchanted Forest (an old time amusement park just below Salem) before we leave, so we have that booked for next Monday. They say the weather is supposed to be cooler by then and we have our fingers crossed! 

Today is again a hot one! We decided to fire up the pressure washers, lather on the sunscreen, and hit the driveways!  I just recently bought this new attachment for my gas pressure washer after hearing how Penny’s neighbor used one and it cleaned up his place pretty quickly. This thing is built like a tank and has 4 wheels and a spinning arm under that cleans an 8 inch path at once. I got the connections made and fired it up. I found it works well!  

I did the newer area where we poured for the rv garage. It made quick work of that. Problem is that it doesn’t push away the dirt. I found I still had to use a power wash nozzle and go over it again to get all of the debris. While I was doing this, Cathye used her electric model and worked on the walkways around the side of the house. Once we discovered that she needed a different nozzle, it went quickly too. 

We only were out there an hour or so and called it because it was just too hot! We’ll do this task in stages and spread out the days. Once we got back into the air-conditioned house, we were done for the day! It was a light dinner, then tv until bedtime.  

Saturday, July 30^th., 2022……   We wanted to get an early start on the pressure washing today. But first we needed to go do our walk/stairs at the high school. We decided to stop at Kristi’s for breakfast before coming back home.  It was just starting to get hot when we headed out to work on the washing job. I managed to get all of the debris pushed off the concrete pad and Cathye got all of the walkway completed. But there is still more to do. We only have one 15° nozzle that works the best for our task, so we will need to get another one before we continue any further. Cathye came in and cleaned up and headed off to her tanning place and I kicked back with my races and enjoyed the cool air in the house!
